A blustery day in St Heliers today but thankfully the weather has not been holding up the contractors on site.
Following our site meeting yesterday, the following is an update on expected activity over the next week:
1. Demolition of Johnston Hall commenced Wednesday 6th August. This will be a 3 week process which will involve all materials being removed from site via the drive to the right of the Church. The demolition team will be monitoring vehicles entering and leaving the site with regard to safety of pedestrians.
Due to the close proximity to neighbours and also the preschool, the building is to be removed by hand, with machinery being used to knock in once the walls are taken down to a safe height. This process should result in less noise and dust for neighbours.
2. Due to the demolition work on Johnston Hall the entrance to Small miracles has been returned to the gate by the drive to the Manse. A pathway has been established with bollards and fencing, however please be aware of children at the top of the drive as from today.
These are the 2 main pieces of work for this week, however should anything arise which may have an impact on neighbours this will be forwarded as soon as known.
Many thanks for your cooperation during this time and should you wish to discuss any issue please do not hesitate to contact me.
Have a lovely week.
